Important Announcement
As you have experienced first hand, the Covid-19 emergency has caused enormous disruption all over the world and businesses have had to change how they work in so many ways. We're no different, and as a result of this, we are temporarily suspending the publication of several publications for three months.

If you're a subscriber don't worry. We've frozen your subscription so that you won't miss any issues and we won't take any regular payments until we're back publishing again. It's just like a 3-month subscription holiday, and we'll extend it by the number of issues you've missed just as soon as we come back.

We're a small but committed team here at Anthem and are working hard to look after your magazine so it's in good shape when we can get back to business. So we truly thank you for being so understanding and continuing to support us during this difficult time.

Common questions

Covid-19 Pandemic

If your magazine has been suspended during the Covid-19 Lockdown, we ask that you please don't cancel your subscription at this time. We will be returning to publication in the summer, with the magazine you love, and you won't miss any issues nor pay extra for anything. We really value your support at this time.

When will I receive my next issue?

We are planning on sending your next issue of Italia! on the 3rd of September.

Will I still receive the same number of issues I've paid for?

Yes, you will receive the same number of issues that you have paid for and as a result, we will be extending your subscription by three months.

Will my Direct Debit or Credit Card payments be paused?

Yes, we will not be taking any further payments on Direct Debit or Credit Card while the magazine is suspended. If you are on Direct Debit you will be notified via email or letter at least 10 working days before your next payment is due confirming the new collection date.

When will I need to renew my subscription?

If you are not paying by Direct Debit or continuous credit card, we will be in contact with you at the appropriate time to invite you to renew your subscription. This will be approx three months later than normal as we are extending your subscription to account for the suspension.

Delivery information

Please allow extra time for your subscription copy/single issue purchases to arrive after bank holidays, particularly around Christmas and New Year.

In the event of extremely bad weather please check out the Royal Mail website for service updates local to where you live.

When can I expect my delivery?

For single and special issue orders

Please allow up to 5 working days for UK delivery, up to 8 working days for delivery to Europe and up to 10 working days for all other international orders.

Pre-order delivery information

All items will be dispatched on the specified release date, which is usually the UK on-sale date. All pre-orders are sent via our standard delivery service. Therefore please allow up to 5 working days for UK delivery, up to 8 working days for delivery to Europe, and up to 10 days for all other international orders from time of dispatch.

Please be aware that occasional unforeseen delays during production may mean we are unable to guarantee a specific date of delivery, but we’ll do our best to keep you informed of any delays.

For subscriptions

Your subscription will start with the next available issue unless you have bought a gift subscription on a Christmas promotion. In this case the subscription will start in January so as not to spoil the surprise. You will receive a welcome email confirming your subscription start date within 1 working day of placing a new order. If you are an existing subscriber, your order will be added to the end of your current subscription.

Below are the maximum wait times for your first issue to arrive:
UK: allow up to 6 weeks
Europe: allow up to 7 weeks
International: allow up to 8 weeks

The speed of delivery outside the UK can vary and will depend on the service provided by the various organisations used during transportation.

A few of our magazines (like Vintage Rock and Planet Mindful) aren’t monthly therefore please allow a few more weeks for your first issue to arrive.

After you’ve received your first issue, you can expect to receive your subsequent magazines on or around the UK on sale date. Should copies not arrive by this date, we kindly request that subscribers wait up to 5 working days before contacting us for a replacement. For subscriptions delivered to Europe please allow up to 2 weeks after the UK on sale date. For subscriptions outside of the UK and Europe, please allow up to 4 weeks after the UK on sale date.

What can I do if I do not receive an issue on time?

Please see the section above: When can I expect my delivery? to find out expected delivery turnarounds.

If you are waiting for your delivery outside of these timeframes then please contact us. Remember to include your subscriber reference number or full mailing address.

UK Customers can access the latest information about delivery service disruption in their local area at www.royalmail.com/serviceupdates. Mailing outside of the UK can be unpredictable and delays can be frequent.

Are delivery costs included?

Yes, delivery is included in the price for all subscriptions, single issues and specials. The prices you see are the prices you pay, we do not add additional delivery costs during the checkout.

Can I order a subscription for delivery to an address outside the UK?

Yes, we deliver worldwide. All magazines are printed and mailed from the UK, therefore the overall subscription cost might be higher to account for overseas mailing costs. To see the price for overseas subscriptions, simply select your delivery region to reveal the local subscription price. All prices displayed include all packing, delivery and taxes where applicable.

Do I have to sign for the delivery of my magazine?

No, your magazine will be sent through the post as normal.

How do I notify you about a change of address?

Changing your address is easy. Simply log in to your account to update your delivery and/or billing details. Please note, if you are relocating to another country then please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

How do I update or change my email address?

How do I renew my subscription?

You can renew your subscription online at any time. Simply log in to your account here.

How do I cancel my subscription?

As per our standard terms and conditions, there is £5 administration charge for cancelling any subscription.

If you received a gift in addition to your magazines when you subscribed, then you may not cancel your subscription within the first twelve months of subscribing.

If you still need to cancel, please contact us with your subscriber number and magazine name.

Ordering

Price match promise

We guarantee that you won’t find a better price for Anthem Publishing’s magazines anywhere else. However, in the very unlikely event that you do find a better price, we’ll refund you the difference. Just contact us with evidence of the better offer to start your refund claim.

Is the online payment system secure?

Yes. We use SSL encryption software to ensure the details of your order and credit card, debit card and bank account information is secure.

How will my subscription be confirmed?

If you subscribe online, you will receive an email confirmation of your order immediately. You will also receive an email or letter containing important subscription information including your first issue and when it will arrive.

Buying a subscription for someone else

Magazine subscriptions make the ideal gift for just about anybody. To give a magazine subscription as a gift simply add it to your basket and provide us with the intended recipient’s delivery details. When we send you an order confirmation via email or post it will include a digital gift card to print out and give to your recipient.

Promotional and free gift offers

If applicable, your free gift will be sent once your payment has been taken. This is usually within 28 days of your order being placed. Your free gift will be sent separately from the magazine, and you might receive your magazine first in some cases. All gift offers are subject to availability and if stocks run out, an alternative gift may be supplied. This limited offer may be withdrawn at any time. If your subscription has been purchased by someone else, the free gift will be sent to the payer.

Subscription trial offers

Trial offers are no obligation Direct Debit or continuous card payment offers. If you wish to cancel your trial subscription, please contact us. Please note, trial subscription offers are limited to one trial per magazine per customer within a 12-month period. Anthem reserve the right to withdraw a limited offer at any time.

What is included in the price?

The prices displayed on the site include delivery costs and taxes (where applicable). Any discounts to the normal magazine cover price will also be explained.

What is a continuous card payment?

Customers sometimes have the option to subscribe by continuous credit card payments (also known as Continuous Payment Authority). Depending on the magazine, your payments will be spread into easy, manageable 3, 6 or 12 payments per year. As continuous payment authority is a recurring payment method you are in complete control of your subscription. If your credit card expires, though, you will need to update us with your new credit card information so that your subscription continues uninterrupted.

Benefits of paying by Direct Debit

UK customers have the option to subscribe by Direct Debit. Depending on the magazine, your payments will be spread into easy, manageable 3, 6 or 12 payments per year. As Direct Debit is a recurring payment method you are in complete control of your subscription as well as eliminating the need for renewing your subscription. You are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.

Anthem and the environment

Did you know the plastic wrap your magazine comes in is LDPE 4 recyclable?

We understand you are a conscientious group who are concerned about the environment and some of you have been in touch about how to dispose of your poly wrap. Obviously we share your concerns for the planet and we are happy to reassure you that the plastic wrap your magazine comes in is made from the recyclable product that DEFRA - the department responsible for safeguarding our natural environment, supporting our world-leading food industry, and sustaining a thriving rural economy - recommends. It’s also worth noting that the magazine itself, of course, is also 100% recyclable and printed on FSC approved paper.

Some councils are beginning to collect carrier bags and other LDPE 4 packaging as part of household recycling schemes. Why not ask your local council if they are accepted in your area before putting them in the recycling bin?

The majority of larger UK supermarkets now offer recycling facilities for LDPE plastics that contain the label with the message "recycle with carrier bags at larger stores - not at kerbside”.

  • Waitrose

All paper used in our publications comes from responsibly managed forests and is FSC approved. FSC is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world's forests.

Complaints procedure

We hope you are entirely happy with your purchase but should you have a problem that has not been resolved to your satisfaction, we have not delivered to the standard of service you expect, or if we make a mistake, please contact us. We will investigate the situation and set about putting it right as quickly as possible, and where appropriate, we will take steps to avoid making similar mistakes in the future.
